The history of World War I.

Position of World War I. with view to the Three PeaksWith us you can hike the history of World War I. All over the area around the Büllelejoch hut you find caverns, positions, shelters, and trails of the Italian-Austrian front in 1915-1918. On the Büllelejoch and Oberbachernjoch the Italian Alpini troops were stationed, at times with up to several hundreds, both in summer and in winter. The supplies, arms, and war materials were brought up with a cable car over the „Rossleitn“ and on the cart road (no. 104) from the Lavaredo plateau.

Relaxing with view to the Zwölferkofel

Those who have trailed and climbed enough can have a rest in the most beautiful corner of the world.
